Cue List
Passage Script
Speaker Plot
After reading the script for the first time, I was able to devise a rough initial cue list. After attending rehearsals and meeting with the director I was able to revise my list to the cues that would help tell the story best.
BROWN SKIN GIRL (Official Audio)
This song was one of many that I chose for my preshow playlist. The goal of the preshow music was not only to help the audience members ease into the world of the play but to also select all BIPOC artists.
They Don't Care About Us (Remastered Version)
Audience members seeing this show would have heard this song underlying the first protest/ riot scene. The reason we selected this song was because of the message that it told the audience members- Country Y doesn't care what Country X-er's want.
Rythmic Meditative Music from India
This music was selected for the first scene in the play after the prologue. Country Y citizen, Q is asking the audience to close their eyes and imagine Country X with her. To join her on her journey as she joins her fiance.
Final Sequence
The above sound file is an abbreviated example of what the final sequence sounded like. The final sequence of the play lasted approximately ten minutes. The end sequence of the play was the Country X priest who led us through the rest of the play. In this sequence, we learn what has happened to the characters after, along with the actor pleading with he audience to hold on the humility and humanity and to stay just a little longer.
